Comment Srila Gaurahari das. Lord Caitanya also said, " Those who awaken devotion to Krishna are certainly a Spiritual Master" Caitanya Caritamrita. There are many persons who have great faith in those whose hearts are not purified by pure love of Krishna arising in there. They consider that one is a qualified Guru if they appear to be in full control of their senses. This is mostly baloney and most are cheating the public, especially in Kali Yuga, by appearing to be goswamis. This is well known by intelligent people. Even if they were austere and renounced if love of Krishna or God has not arisen in their hearts there is no real spiritual benefit for them according to Lord Caitanya. There craftiness, deceitfulness, desire for material profit is not rooted out because they have not developed faith in the gift of love of Krishna when it is being distributed in this world by a person who has been ordered to by the disciplic succession and blessed by Lord Caitanya with being an empowered representative, or in other words a authorized distribution center for ecstatic devotion for Krishna.
Practically love of God or Krishna is arising in the hearts of many of our sanga members. This proves beyond doubt that the order of Srila Prabhupada gave me in a lucid dream in 1996 to preach the way we do is genuine and authorized. Let the false renunciates who have great faith in their austerities bark all they want but this procession is proceeding on and delivering anyone who believes in our clear, no nonsense preaching. Let the dry hearts of the illusionists who quote random verses to to fruitlessly try to defeat the reality that love of God is manifesting in our sanga members because the grace of the disciplic line and the mercy of lord Caitanya is working powerfully here backing our activities. Those who follow with faith the dry renunciates, austerity addicts path will become like barren deserts like their preaching bearing no ecstatic fruit of love of God or Krishna. There is no transcendental truth or juice there but instead lots of thorns and obstacles blocking their way.
As I was just saying the other day, a thousand scriptural references and bureaucratic authorities will never beat genuine charisma. But there is nothing that the legalists hate worse.
ReplyDeleteBut the legalists do have a point. The charismatics tend to be antinomian and think they can do whatever they want in the name of their charisma. This can and often does, mostly does, lead to personal disaster and a great crash of faith in the followers.
But caution and charisma are not really partners. This is really the same distinction as vaidhi and raganuga.
